Only because the evil of the Nazis is more well known. The evils of the
various communist countries, both past and present, have been downplayed by
politicians and the media.

That and the fact that the left-wingers just love to equate any and all on
the right with the Nazis regardless of how much of a leap in logic it
takes.

To the left, being called a socialist is almost a compliment.
