I disagree.  If someone refers to someone else by the wrong name, and it's
corrected in the quote, the only way that it changes the meaning is that their
name can no longer be used, within that message, to incite controversy.

If the incorrectly used name is within the text I'm quoting, then I guess the
only alternative that leaves me is to censor it.

Calling somebody by their desired name has probably been accepted etiquette in
polite society for even longer, but apparently that's not the issue here.

What's interesting is that THIS is the issue that gets the attention of the
moderator, but the personal attacks don't.  Nice.
