Might want to check out  REXX proceedures (DLL's) to see if it can be done 
that way.  I have several REXX files that relate to communication proceedures 
but am not sure if they contain the information you are looking for.
rexxterm.zip /b REXXTERM is a full-function asynchronous communication 
program for DOS and OS/2. It is the first program of its kind that uses the

Hence it has a script language that it is at
