ummm... the upload take place outside of BW so how is BW to know about it?
unless there's some special "interface" that can be done to
indicate to BW, i see no way for BW to be told about the upload... i don't
think i've seen a BW Developers kit in all my BW files... this upload thing
could be something as simple as creating another file of the same name with
a different extension...

or, possibly, that is a manually operated field?
