subject: Educational CDs

Hi! My name is Rich Anderson, and I hope I'm not violating the rules of
this conference. I'm following the rules of at least several
conferences which have commercial restrictions in that I'm making what I
believe is an announcement of "new" items to assist with education, not
quoting prices, etc. If this does violate the rules of this conference
(as I'm placing this in a number of "education" and special interest
conferences/news groups which pertain to this software), please forgive
me. I intend to make posts of this nature only infrequently and will
take replies only through e-mail.
What I want people to know is that Zane Publishing, Inc., has released
their 180 titles of educational material on CD ROM for home purchase.
These are the same CDs used in libraries and schools but cost a small
fraction of what those institutions are charged. They cover elementary,
middle and high school education levels and you will find a huge variety
of titles like: Elementary Science, Shakespeare's Theater, History/Art-
Middle Ages, American Literature/Whitman, Great Composers/Beethoven,
Jacksonian Democracy, US Government-1783-1865, Isaac Asimov's Library-
Solar System, US Endangered Species, Boxer Trigonometry, and on and on.
These are all available in sets or individually by catalog purchase.
The system requirements are:
For PCs: 486DX\25 with Windows 3.1 or Windows 95, 8 MB RAM (16 MB RAM
recommended for Windows 95), CD-ROM Drive (Double Speed or greater
recommended), 640 x 480 VGA (SVGA, 256 colors recommended), mouse and
sound card recommended.
For Macintosh: 33 MHz 68030+ Macintosh, System 7+, 8 MB RAM (6 MB free
RAM required), CD-ROM drive (Double Speed or greater recommended), 640 x
480 color monitor (256 colors recommended), mouse and sound card
recommended.
A catalog is available giving detailed descriptions of each offering and
I'm available for demonstrations in Western Oregon. But, the best news
and clincher may be that the prices per CD can be as low as a 10th of
what people pay for a first rate Windows/Macintosh game and that every
purchase is backed by a 100% MONEY BACK GUARANTEE IF YOU ARE NOT TOTALLY
SATISFIED. You're happy or it costs you nothing to find out. All
titles run without being installed on your hard drive too, so you have
no space problems or a mess to uninstall if you are not happy and return
your purchase!
