MM>Actually, that's the aboslute best thing I ever learned in high school
MM>, my typing skills, and I've used it a lot since then. That's how
MM>things should be structured, to offer you a skill that you want to learn,
MM>in abudance, taught by quality people, not having to pay a bunch of

MM>Going from an 8th grade ed to college, if that's the way it's gonna be,
MM>shouldn't cost $. That's one of my points.
There is a world of difference between job training and an
education. I teach music in Alaska. However, the most important course
I ever took in my life was philosophy. It changed the way I look at the
world, and the way I interact with it.
From your postings, it seems you are quick to judge, and short
on your evaluations. You discuss who is blind, but have you taken a
good look around? There are all kinds of fellows who say they have
matured, but they don't realize that maturation is an on going process.
I shared your view point about how school is useful. Then, it
hit me! Like a rock falling from the ski, it hit me! Why I went to
school. The answer is very simple, to become smarter.
Right now, I have to go edit my Masters' project. There
are some serious changes I need to make in it. It seems kinda a waste
of time and energy, but the college won't give me my degree until I have
made the changes in it. Then I remember why I am doing it. Because I
want to be smarter. After all, where would anyone use a better brain?
Keep your stick on the Ice,
Paul
