Larry Crane, attorney for the American Center for Law and Justice 
representing plaintiffs Promise Doe, Jane Roe, et. al. vs. Sundquist and the 
State of Tennessee in a federal court challenge to Tennessee's equal access 
to adoption records legislation of last year, has announced today that by 
day's end he will file a MOTION FOR A STAY against Judge John T. Nixon's 
ruling (August 23, 1996) in favor of Tennessee's law.

DENIES the Plaintiffs' Motion.
