Right.  That's what I thought you were referring to.  I really don't
know why the file I was mentioning before would go missing... I just did
a little snooping around, and as far as I can tell, it's actually a file
inside the qwk message packet itself that is supposed to be updating
itself, but it may be holding everything in memory until you close the
packet, and then write to that file at that point, I don't really know
how it actually works, I'm just guessing...?   There's also a file in
the work directory that holds information about the packet in case of an
inadvertant shut down of the system leaving an open packet with things
not properly saved... I think that may actually be where the stuff is
kept when the packet is open... and then somehow it gets written to the
.xti file when the packet is properly closed (and the screen says saving
pointers, or something like that).  But why it wouldn't be behaving, I
really don't know.

Do you have different setups for your work directory on the thinkpad vs
the other puter?

At the moment, the wizard isn't available... I'll try to remember to ask
him when he is.  :)
