Hello, Kevin....about the paint-ball guns...
KK> I said I thought I had a new invention with this! Well I found
KK> out that this is how Del builds his planes. He sort of jigs all the
KK> pieces together the hits them with the paint ball gun. This glues the
KK> whole thing together and adds battle damage at the same time. Let dry
KK> and switch to real paint balls and you have a glued and painted scale
KK> wreck in a matter of minutes. Found you out Del!!!
How did you find this interesting info ???....I guess this technique
works OK with Del except when the lamp upsets his jigs....I wonder what
a flying (???) lamp would look like....he would probably put an iron
cross on it and claim it was a camoflagued "9" ( big gr).
KK> Now think of the commercial opportunities of this. Think of the
KK> planes you could save at the field simply by gluing that fluttering
KK> surface in time for the pilot to regain control? We could add a new
KK> event, scale anti aircraft fire! No worry about damage to the models
KK> as it glues back together as soon as you hit it. What do you think?
KK> Should we suggest this to the AMA? I think they'll go for it! But
KK> then, I'm an optimist! TTYL
Some time ago, in some magazine article, I read about a contest event
wherein a pilot flew by spectators "armed" with the paint ball guns -
seems they paid a fee to shoot at the flying model and that's how the
club made their funds - interesting - maybe I'll just show up at the field
with a gun and just stand by when the "younger, mouthy set" start to fly.
And....think of the possibilities...we could build a gun into our next
large-scale bird and go looking for "9s" over Del-land. TTYL - Roger
