Sounds like one of those "make do the best you can" type of deals.
Well, here's one good word in for you that you'll be able to find
satisfying employment soon and be able to find a suitable place for you
and your feathered (and otherwise) family.

I have found precious little about the ruby throat sub-species; a
little blurbette here, a little there. There just do not seem to be
all that many of them out there and apparently very few breeders as
well. I don't know if it's a lack of breeding stock or what. A real
shame too, they've got such a boundless supply of energy and
personality. The only time Randy sits still in one place is when he's
asleep at night or eating. If your friend is looking for infro
involving care and/or personality characteristics, I doubt you could go
wrong just sharing with him what you have learned about with Gremil.
From what I've "heard" you say about her in the past, the personalities
and needs of the two sub-species (mitreds and ruby throats are substantially similar.

I rather gave up on waiting for a stable 32 bit operating platform to
arrive from Microsoft and went with OS/2 Warp back in early November.
Had a little trouble to start but turned out to be a hardware problem
(hairline crack in my motherboard). Been getting a bit of indigestion
over all the " '95" hype, especially since it still isn't "right" yet
and being shipped anyway (from someone I know who worked in MS's
customer support up until just recently). I'm certainly not going to
rush right out to get a copy of it any time soon.
Peace,
Fr. Joe and the Feathered Flock
