Thanks. I'm beginning to have some confidence in me,
too. :) And thank you much for jarring loose old knowledge.
Sometimes, you can't know how much you've forgotten until someone
trips the right memory circuit. The strange thing is...I've
never really 'rehab'ed a horse before...
All the experience I had was from bringing along green
horses, often starting when they were babies. The beautiful part
of it all is that (at least with the big guy), what has worked
best, so far, was to go back to basics and establish the frame of
reference where communication was actually happening. That's
also been working well for Paco's little ideosyncracies, too.
I know I'm going to have some interesting stories to tell
when all is done with the big guy.
