Been there, done that. It can, on occasion, increase the number of shots and
consistancey somewhat with lighter pellets,
but at the expense of power output. It also does nothing to change the fact
that firing pressure is reduced with each shot.
What is does is compensate for a slow locktime valve setup, but you lose
ome
of the "self-regulating" features caused by
the reservoir pressure shutting the valve quicker at high pressure, and
lower
at lower pressure, as the valve closing becomes more soley
dependent on the return spring alone. This mod may also lower the effective
maximum charge pressure somewhat.
