GS> French jazz violinist Jean-Luc Ponty is also outstanding. Just
GS> about any of his older releases from about 1978 to 1990 or thereabo
GS> is worth owning. I actually prefer his compositional skill to his
GS> playing skill, but he is VERY precise!
F>I have _Imaginary Voyage_. Not great, but decent. Every notice how
F>the first part of the title track sounds a lot like UK?
If you like the title track (or suite) from that album, the classic Ponty
album that isn't available on CD is _Live_ from around 76-78. It focuses on
his best ensemble work, plus one computerized thing that works better than
most (I liked it, and I'm no synth music fan).
Don't know why it's not available on CD. SBA, I suppose.
