someone was running news2.barkto.com at one time (it still resolves) but I
couldn't ping it.

Also it appears the piles need to be reindexed but if I do that all the
message numbers will change and next visit everyone will get the full
message base as new. (that's why the old posts aren't showing yet). I'm not
sure yet if there is another way to resolve that problem. Will spend more
time on it tomorrow, I just barely got the thing functional again tonight
before I had to run.
