Ferrets... roommates and I, years ago, had ferrets (my last died three years
ago) - 5 among us.  They do not play sock, they play 'steal' and 'can I get
into this glass full of something that's now on the table, oops' and 'I really
can scale the couch and leap like a flying squirrel onto the table where I can
get into this full glass (repeat) and (the funniest one I saw) "drag the
half-grown cat around by the face when he plays too roughly." It wasn't funny
from Pooka's perspective, but he'd been pounding on Lestat, who'd been ignoring
things to that point.  And finally Lestat just whipped around and caught
Pooka's cheek, and started hauling him off to the Toy Corner.  Pooka was
screaming his head off (not and 'ow, ow' but a 'get this freaking ferret off
me, mom!')... no injuries... but after that, he was far more respectful of
Lestat.
