EV>My first RX was a Hallicrafters S-38E, it had a switch to turn on a BFO EV>to listen to CW or SSB (if you could call the circuitry in the S-38E a BFO) EV>IIRC it was just a wire routed around some sections in the chassis that EV>got 'switched in'. Interesting, My first SW Reciever was a S-38 also. I picked up mine in 1948. I dropped out of that hobby during my 20 years in the Navy but after I retired I aquired a Kenwood R1000 reciever. I also have a Kenwood TS-440 that my father gave me in his declining years. Putting up an antenna is a roundtuit project. --- þ SLMR 2.1a þ 0* Origin: TECHWARE BBS - Since 1995 - www.techware.dynip.com (1:102/401) SEEN-BY: 10/1 11/200 19/75 34/999 123/500 128/2 187 135/364 140/1 222/2 226/0 SEEN-BY: 230/150 249/303 250/1 306 261/20 38 100 1381 1406 266/1413 267/155 SEEN-BY: 280/1027 311/1 320/119 219 340/400 396/45 633/260 267 280 712/848 SEEN-BY: 801/161 189 2320/105 5030/709 1256 @PATH: 102/401 943 10/1 261/38 633/260 267 |
