We stuck up 8 here for a try out with Adept 1.11 on a 486/80 16 meg under
warp 4.0 fixpac 5, and with all 8 lines active, with half of em doing file
transfers, (2 uploading and 2 downloading) and the other 4 working in the
message bases, i could still toss mail in the background, run flist, and
Golded as well do a local logon and hook to the internet. Only slowdaon in
this setup was a rather weak video card with 1 meg on it. Would like to get
ahold of enough modems and multi port serial cards to load up this machine
one time to see what it could handle. Pent 200, 64 meg. Could most likely run
all 24 nodes that the registered version of Adept i have is set up for. Bet
it would just truck on along like it is supposed to with room left over to
play around with.
Would like to see a Win 95 machine give it a try once just to see what kinda
crash it would give em.. About 8.6 on the rector (sp) scale i suspect. :-)
