So what proof do you have that they were dumb?   Does that mean that

Aha,  so Andre CAN provide cites if properly motivated. That's a good
sign.   Now perhaps he can take to heart a recent comment by Jayne:

"You are responsible for the way that you write, not the person you are
replying to.  If you want to work on fixing up the mess that our culture
