I can certainly provide at least some information on some of those
topics, as well as getting into some of the philisophical issues
which are already out there and are "concerns" about the future -
everything from Searle's claims that we'll never have a system that
understands what it's doing to the more interesting questions as to
whether or not the ALife experiments going on now are simulation
or instantiation. :)

programming and medical viruses? Searle is that short sighted? Just watch
the virus checker manufacturers and the hardware developers creating a system
health protocol that has the machine tracking it's own problems and solving
them on the fly.
