Hello Robert,
RJ> A native OS/2 version would be great but it has taken me far too
RJ> long to learn OS/2 programming. Sorry about that.
I'm more than a little pleased to see you responding to posters in here
with a pleasant attitude towards OS's other than MS Win95/NT.
I very nearly dumped this echo after a similar question about an OS/2
ver of Arj resulted in a long diatribe about the merits of OS/2 vis a
vis MS-Win95 et al...
And I can and do appreciate the time and difficulty in porting a
program to an unfamiliar OS.
Its also pretty nice to see a programs author saying he would like to do
x or y, instead of some reg or support site just rubbishing a posters
choice of OS's other than from MicroSoft..
Thanks for a valid response to a poster, wish you every success with
JAR[both versions].
BTW at least one comms program Author has included JAR support in the
programs mailer section.. And regularly uses Jar to compress his mail to
both support sites and test team. That author is Bo Bendtsen [Terminate]
However there is some resistance to using JAR amongst Terminate users as
the only version currently available is a beta one.. Is there any
proposed release date for a non test version?
Cheers,
Cliff
