Not that I can tell. The dos version should work the same way as the OS/2
version.

Part of that is probably system speed, but I can see where a multi-line
sqpack .bat file could also play a part. The OS/2 native versions also are a
bit quicker than the dos versions of squish and sqpack.

You can give it a shot. Try sqpack d:\max\areas.dat from a DV window while
you're watching, and see what happens. You can always ctrl-c out of the
packing at any time, if you don't want to pack all your areas at that time.
