I have a need for an algorithm or a bit of code which will accept
file names, including wildcards, using exactly the same rules as the DOS
copy command. The output must be a valid path/file name.
The reason I require this is that I have written a small shell
program and need to be able to copy and/or move files around. At the
moment I am calling DOS to do the copying but would prefer to do it
directly. In a nutshell; I wish to program a copy function which will
exactly duplicate the DOS copy command, at least as far as file names go.
As everyone else appears to be able to do this I figure someone out
there must know exactly how to go about it. Hints, tips or code can be in
C, assembler, Pascal, Basic or just about anything else, as long as it's in
English. _Any_ help would be most appreciated.
