Is that an offline reader in the sense of doing QWK, or an editor that deals
with existing message bases? If it's the latter, I might be interested in
taking a look at it. In either case, it'd make a welcome addition to the
files section here...

Yep, there shoulda been one right before that REM.

It looks to me like the cmd file was originally set up to do the link step
and that it was then disabled by the REM. Linking *does* take a significant
amount of time here...

Sure. I'm making progress, which got stopped rather abruptly last night
when I realized that I didn't have a spare power connector to hook up to that
SCSI drive -- and I've already got two y-adapters in this machine! Seems
rather silly for a full-sized tower case to skimp on things like that...

So far, so good. Right now I'm still trying to figure out how I'm gonna
partition things and collecting OS/2-specific versions of software that I
haven't managed to get a hold of yet, but the network card got installed
last night, and once I can find a power connection for that drive I'll
probably get a little further along with this...
