Roy I know you're not fond of GUI but you might want to check out
SqEd/32.......squish based, REXX compatible and a great all round off-line
reader. Try it.......ya never know you just may like a gooey proggie after
all!

Detach is the command you're thinking off........you can use it when no video
or hands on interaction is required. The start command just starts another
instance of cmd.exe etc and programs being started by this method can be
accessed, manipulated and viewed.

 RJT> Why the REM here?
Looks like a missing LF/CR.......if the cmd file was run with this actually
setup this way, cmd.exe would generate an error message on the second line (
the " -fd:\max\echotoss.log" part).
BTW, good to see your interest in maybe switching to OS/2 is still there! I
did send off a reply to you concerning your enquiry in the OS/2 echo about
making the switch but maybe you didn't receive it (??).......mail runs have
been kinda flakey at this end for the last little while so maybe it ended up
in the bit bucket somewhere along the line. So how are you feeling about
making the transistion.........are your questions being answered? I hope
so..........:-)
