BL> You forgot to mention the Port #. My ftp pgm, NFTP, defaults to
BL> port 21, but when I tried to logon I got:
BL> "Failed to connect to port 21" which was on 10-9 at 0154 ct. WTFO??

server was locked up... i seem to have an errant bit in a memory stick or
something... i haven't been able to lock it down and am slowly working thru
a checklist to create a restart script... it is an OS/2 box and i have
finally turned on REIPL so that it'll reboot instead of just sitting at the
black screen of death (yep, OS/2 has a BSOD, hehehe)... now i just have to
get all the services and tools fired up in the proper sequence and that's
taking some time... give it a try most any time during the week... if it
doesn't go poof during the day, it should be fine... otherwise, it'll have
to wait till i get home around dinner time and finish the bootup
sequence...

sorry for the problem(s)...
