I know this will make me look even worse.. but I don't drink 
:).. I actually copied the char **argv from the getopts function you
wrote.. then just followed it through to see how to work with it like that
:)..

The *(argv++) what what I thought logically would work.. :).. it was all a
matter of the IDE debugger only showing one character when using argv++
compared to it showing the entire member for *(argv++) :).. when they both
jump to the next member.. :)
