Thanks for the suggestion, but I'm not sure that it would work in this
case. Whilst the sort of solution (noting the comments below about
charging) might keep the Pi going, there is the issue with the disc
drive, which is also mains powered (which looking at my original posting
wasn't clear), so I'm looking for something which would handle both.
