well, I could understand if that was the case, but even if absolutely nothing 
is hooked up except a mike or a CD player, when the meters are going, the 
light dims.. upon closer inspection I found that the light is powered off the 
LED VU meter board.. so I guess the VU meters are drawing too much from that 
part of the power supply.. I still haven't gotten around to adding a separate 
supply for the light, but I will soon.
