        I made a trip to Ohio yesterday and no I didn't attempt
to meet my bfather, just get a little feel for what he is about.
I rode past his modest house twice, just looking at it and
wondering who and what was inside. A visit to the local library
told me that he was living there alone. Then a trip to the
courthouse revealed that possibly a daughter owned the house,
which he has only been living in the past 2 years. More holes to
fill in this mystery. Where was he before 2 years ago? I also
rode past another possible relative's house near the courthouse.
Again, I made no attempt to meet them.
        It was an interesting visit though. I'm assuming that he
is neither poor nor wealthy. He is retired. Also the two women on
my list at that address no longer live there.
        I can now sit down and compose a letter to him but not
reveal that I was there. I think this will make it easier for me,
just knowing this little bit more about him.
