Because the Talking Snake that he created told him to. The magical tree had
fruit that would burst a flow of neurons in the head that convinces you
that there is such a thing as 'evil' And Evil should be punished because
that is Justice. So the couple were kicked out, had two kids one of whom
went somewhere and married. Who? Shhh. (I like, read and respect the bible,
Literalists make my teeth grind.)

Interesting you wold say that. Actually it was to just that question - how
did we get into this mess? - that they were asking when the great diaspora
