Hello, Maurice.

...yeah, and I'm back to Maximus... I was trying to see if I could get one
of my favorite old-school BBS software setups, Shotgun Professional,
working again... it worked, except netmail wasn't being routed correctly
and mail was being tossed insecure... so I'm back to running what I know...
;)
Anyhow, back to your response. Yes, I am running OS/2 and yes, I am happy
with things the way they are. I've always been a very hands-on sysop when
it comes to things and I do know what you're talking about many different
ways to see what goes on in Linux (I have a box here with Mandrake,
Slackware and Debian on it, three different hard drives and one lovely lilo
;). However, as you said, it's a personal thing.
From what I've seen from your responses-you'd be happier if Maximus ran as
a daemon. In that case, yeah, Maximus is gonna have to be rewritten from
the ground up. Perhaps the idea would be best if there were two Maximus
software setups: one a daemon, stripped down to bare minimum and one more
like what is more "traditional" for Maximus.
Just my two cents' worth, of course. ;)
Later,
Sean
