Thank you to Ensign Tim Madden of the U.S.S. Ticonderoga who passed this
information onto us.  Matt Jefferies, the original designer of the U.S.S.
Enterprise in the 1960's has passed away today.  It appears the cause was
cancer but no official statement has been made yet.  He was 82 years old
and is survived by his wife, Mary Ann.

Thank you Matt for your contributions to Star Trek.  The original
Enterprise (No Bloody A, B, C or D) is still one of my favorite starships.
