The best way I have found of both making it easier, and ensuring problem
nodes aren't problems in that respect is to have the Alias set in MSGED.CFG

ie.
;
Alias  areafix "AreaFix"                3:640/201  n  "xxxxxxxx"
Alias  Alwyn   "Alwyn Smith"            3:640/201  n
;
