A while back I posted a message about the occasional problems I've been
having with my color palette. Now I have more info to give in hopes that
someone can help me prevent this. Whenever I open a Windows program without
first going to WinOS2 Program manager (in other words, when I start the
program from the OS/2 desktop or from an OS/2 folder), all of the OS/2 colors
get messed up. Here's what I've nailed down so far:
1. All of my window borders change from yellow to black.
2. The title bar of the active window (after closing the Windows program)
changes from teal to black. (Closing the Windows program doesn't cause the
colors to revert to their correct appearances).
3. The menu bars of all open windows change from light grey to black (they
already have black lettering, so this makes the words on the menu bars
invisible).
4. The background colors of some icons change (one in particular changes
from maroon to pink).
I've found that if I select the OS/2 color palette (which I've moved to my
desktop because of this problem--I use it so much!), and then select HELP,
all the colors revert to normal.
How do I fix this so the colors don't change in the first place? This is
OS/2 v.2.10 with no fixpacks.
