NOON:
Strong's # 6672 tsohar (tso'-har); from 6671; a light (i.e.
window): dual double light, i.e. noon: KJV-- midday, noon (-day,

darkness, and thou shalt not prosper in thy ways: and thou shalt be only
oppressed and spoiled evermore, and no man shall save thee.
Deut 28:67 In the morning thou shalt say, Would God it were even! and at
even thou shalt say, Would God it were morning! for the fear of thine heart

Neh 13:19 And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to
be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates
should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the
sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no
burden be brought in on the sabbath day. (KJV)
This was not at the noon time. The sun was descending below the horizon,
causing shadows or darkness to envelope the gates of the eastern side of the
city. This was not at noon or even 3:00. I am not sure how you understand
this, but what I gather is that you agree that the evening is at sundown when
darkness is descending upon us.
Gen 43:16 And when Joseph saw Benjamin with them, he said to the ruler of
his house, Bring these men home, and slay, and make ready; for these men
shall dine with me at noon. (KJV)
Gen 43:25 And they made ready the present against Joseph came at noon: for
they heard that they should eat bread there. (KJV)
2 Sam 4:5 And the sons of Rimmon the Beerothite, Rechab and
Baanah, went, and came about the heat of the day to the house of
Ishbosheth, who lay on a bed at noon. (KJV)
1 King 18:26 And they took the bullock which was given them, and they
dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning even until noon,
saying, O Baal, hear us. But there was no voice, nor any that answered. And
they leaped upon the altar which was made. (KJV)
1 King 18:27 And it came to pass at noon, that Elijah mocked them, and
said, Cry aloud: for he is a god; either he is talking, or he is pursuing, or
he is in a journey, or peradventure he sleepeth, and must be awaked. (KJV)
1 King 20:16 And they went out at noon. But Ben-ha'dad was
drinking himself drunk in the pavilions, he and the kings, the thirty and two
kings that helped him. (KJV)
Ps 55:17 Evening, and morning, and at noon, will I pray, and cry aloud:
and he shall hear my voice. (KJV)
Song 1:7 Tell me, O thou whom my soul loveth, where thou feedest, where
thou makest thy flock to rest at noon: for why should I be as one that
turneth aside by the flocks of thy companions? (KJV)
Amos 8:9 And it shall come to pass in that day, saith the Lord GOD, that I
will cause the sun to go down at noon, and I will darken the earth in the
clear day: (KJV)
Yes, Bro Clarence, there is a word for noon in Hebrew. Psalms says that he
would pray in the MORNING, at NOON, and in the EVENING. There was three main
divisions of the daylight time. Sun-up, sun directly overhead, and the going
down of the sun in the evening. It is called "Even" because it was the
dividing line between night-time and daylight time. So, the period that
balances these two periods, or the half-way mark is described as "EVEN".
Hope this will help you. Your's in Yeshua HaMoshiach, David Pennington.
