Hello Jim,
Is it possible that your SWITCH BOX is bad? I have seen a tech try to get one 
of those things working for over week to find out it wasn't compatible with 
AUTOCAD's drivers. This is commonly the problem, incompatibilty. I also use 
WFW 3.11 on one of my machines and "AM" on a network but I print to Windows 
Spooler through the Network setup. You might try reinstalling the Printer 
Driver to see if it prompts you anything different. I'll ask around in the
