bookmarked and logged. the address that is.

I really don't know what else I can recommend. You stated that
some of the comm routines (was it you or someone else.) were modeled
after Binkleyterm. I know that binkleyterm XE does handle the modem
right. Being it is my frontend mailer I have not seen any significant
problems. Sometimes when it spawnbbs's over to agetty which does the
processing of a bbs caller (A fairly ugly /usr/bin/spawnbbs file is
below
#!/bin/sh
export TERM=ansi.sys
/sbin/agetty -h $1 ttyS1 vt100
Its a crude hack but it normally does work when some dweeb
drops carrier. Other times it sits there just not returning control
back to binkleyterm XE (its the agetty thats the ugly problem.)
This hack is needed for TWO reasons.
1. I also provide dialup shell accounts
2. My current bbs (Synchronet) does not directly deal with
modems anymore.
Other than how binkleyterm XE gets it working I have no idea.
Perhaps someone in the binkley echo may have a clue.
