My wife had a software mirrored NT server where she started the new job,
they rebooted it once a week otherwise at some less opportune time it would
crash. It crashed hard a couple of times on her and she replaced it as
quickly as possible.

I've never heard much good about software RAID. My new workstations
hardware mirrored drives and seem to work quite well.

Buying another one this week.
