To do the job with Faxworks-lite you have to
a) Your Dos- or Wind-application has to select the IBM-proprinter or an
equivalent printer, and also select LPT3 as output.
b) You have to select FxPrint as default-printer in OS/2. FxPrint is a
virtual printer installed by Faxworks on LPT3 as default.
With Faxworks fullpack comes besides other things a Laserjet III emulation
for Dosapps.
