On or about: 12-06-07 09:56, Jean Parrot did engage James Bradley regarding, but not limited to: BW setup. JP> James, top of the morning to you ! As to you, Jean. Well... Afternoon, anyway! (-; JP> I have two back ups now, I use Sean's every day, Doc's is the JP> BU and also nntp. I fanilly got this going but I still prefer BW JP> and ZOC for my friendly contacts as yours. JP> Sean left in a huff a short time ago. I can not understand JP> why. He was friendly all along then mud hit the fan. Sean, as in??? He used to run a Telnet board, and just pulled the proverbial plug? JB> What do you do for the hostile contacts? JP> As Dan mentioned, there is a twit filter in BW, I mentioned JP> that I was using it as a user was a bit critical but as he JP> sometimes had something to say, I did not actually use "twit". It JP> cut off his derogatory remarks addressed to me. He thought that I JP> had used it. One thing I have found about Fido users, is their convictions are strong, and they perhaps lack periphery vision. I don't know if this is a good thing, or a bad thing, but it's likely just one of *those* things. /-: JB> I noticed some reminiscing about registration letters. My first JB> exposure to BW must have been near version 2.2. By 2.30, I *knew* I'd JB> found a winner, and registered the 386 version of that release, and a JB> *friends* BBS door. Now, *where* did I put that paperwork? JP> There is a nice person here who provided me with the proper JP> registration for 2.30. I forget who, ask around. I have mine JP> secured in a .doc for futur use if ever. I still have the letter JP> from GA's brother, Scott, with the numbers, dated Mar 27-95. It has JP> been a while. Looking at my reader after I closed the editor, I saw my registered version is 2.20. I must have started with 2.12. Regardless, there is so little I would change about it, I never did pursue updating to 2.3. JP> Nice to see you back. Thanks! I was worried for the the sysop of this board for some time, but he seemed to weather his health scare, and struggle for independence. I'm just tickled to rediscover his system. I couldn't transfer *any* files with the other board available to me in his absence, so OLMR was sunk for that length of time. ...
