RE: The ships in your movie being changed.
 
You stated that the TIE fighters have been "Remodeled" to look more "modern". 
If you set your movie between ESB and ROTJ, as you say, then I don't see how 
you can change the "look" of the TIE fighters, if you want a "canonical" 
look, because the TIEs didn't change much between those movies. I'm not 
trying to tell you what to do, but that's my take on it. The same with any 
other ship featured in those two movies.
