While that may be statistically valid (Cite, please),  it is not
logically required.  In a group of four couples,  one unfaithful
wife could easily result in three unfaithful husbands.  Furthermore,
the statistics may not even out if the penalties (such as stoning--or
more currently, divorce, alimony, and child support) are more often
applied to one gender than another.   In addition,  a single man
having an affair with a married woman is not necessarily unfaithful--
though he may be a party to adultery.
