Concerning _Pro-2005_, Bobbie Beers said to Troy H. Cheek in SCANRADIO:
BB> Personally, I love my 2035. While it doesn't get the whole 800 band,
Well, I've got my modified Pro-43 when I want that. Like, for instance, when
I was in Atlanta this week for that security convention. I searched from
30-999 MHz in the middle of downtown. I never got farther than 4 or 5 MHz
from the last frequency I found before I bumped into the next, and sometimes
would find several hits one search step after another.
I came away from that city with two conclusions:
1) It's a miracle that people can talk by radio down there at all.
2) There are too many security "experts" in the field who think that
cellular phones are completely private. Of this group, those that even know
about scanners think that all scanners which could possibly pick up cellular
are illegal, confiscated, destroyed, etc.
BB> it does pretty good. I've been using RS Scanners for 20+ years. Price,
BB> bands, and quality are better than most. I also love my 2004, and
BB> 2006.
I'd like to try out the 2004/5/6 series, but just can't find them local for a
decent price. The 2035 seems to be built along the same lines, and
apparently most of the modifications for the ealier scanners can be performed
on the 2035 as well. Have you tried the 2042? As I understand it, it's a
2035 with improved firmware.
