Hello Gail!
Maybe I was dreaming, but didn't you say this on Sunday May 10 1998
IH>> slight worry I have is how our moderators will take it, it's a
IH>> little far away from the main topic, which is cooking.
GS> Say Ian
GS> Don't worry about chatting about the B&B - the "breakfast" part of
GS> that is of course a "legal" topic here :-)
That's very kind, and a generous interpretation of the rules.
GS> Plus all your suggestions are based on such great experience,
Only 4 years of running one, but it's true that we did go out and about
B&Bing before we started running one, and it's also true that if we do have
some success with it, it's because the whole thing is the subject of no
little thought and consideration. For example, many of our colleagues shock
us in that they've never tried to find out WHY people use B&Bs, or why they
are coming here to the area, or WHY their clients chose _their_
establishment. So inevitably, we DO have opinions about what can make a good
or bad establishment, and we have learnt from some of the mistakes that we -
and others- have made.
GS> everyone can learn to appreciate a B&B more the next time they stay
GS> at one.
I hope so, that would be a real plus.
GS> I enjoyed your posts to Kristy.
Thanks - thanks VERY much.
All the Best
Ian
