PE> Problems with Pacific C version 7.45 regarding ANSI/ISO conformance
...
PE> mktime is missing from time.h

I have always been unsure what is in the ANSI standard. Other than a
list (from Dr Dobbs) and K&R ANSI - which I don't have at hand.
I had noted that mktime was missing from Pacific and substituted my own.

I downloaded ANSI_C.ARJ from your BBS, but was discouraged by the
formatting and strange character sequences e.g. "^Fnough",
"\*(Cunsigned\fP". I assume that these are word processor instructions,
but it doesn't make it any easier to read.

Is there a simple definitive list of functions, macros etc required by
ANSI?

PS I note your comment about FREQing. Unless I am missing something this
is not very helpful unless you know the phone number of the BBS.
