        Hi Paul,

Sounds good except that it just might not work too well on my XT
and I'm not in a position, or a hurry, to upgrade my computer. If I ever
do end up with something a bit more modern I will possibly have a good look
at some other compilers, although I like PCC.

JG> about ANSII, let alone ISO. Besides, ISO has no business messing about
 JG> with programing languages.

 PE> And why is that?

A weights and measures body has no business dealing with anything
which can, at best, be described as being one of the arts. My own feeling
is that once C started to get away from the original K&R specs it should
simply have become a new language.

As far as standards go, they mean _nothing_ unless you can compile
_any_ source code (for a given language) using _any_ compiler. Not likely
to happen on this planet.

PE> FREQ ANSI_C.* from 3:711/934 and you will get a copy
PE> of the ANSI C draft, which is basically identical to ISO/IEC
PE> 9899:1990. I am very interested to know what you think is wrong with
 PE> ANSI_C.*. I reckon it's perfect. BFN. Paul.

I _am_ interested in the standards specs, even if I don't agree
with them, or the body which laid them out, and would like to get a copy of
this file. I am trying to find out how do Freq but have been told that
it's a sysop only function. If you could shed any more light on this it
would certainly help, as I often get a reply which has something along the
lines of "Freq file ABC.ZIP from 3:456/789".

                John

... I forgot something once, can't remember what though.
