Oh, I know... both from a bit of experience, and from watching others... 
There's no point in my planning for retirement, I don't think it would
stick, in the first place, and I'm not getting paid now anyway, in the
second place... ;)  And the more I try to pull back, there's always more
in the wings to fill the time...

I have known some that, despite plans to stay active, kicked over right
after retirement... even sadder...  Also, I noted that when one feels
"put on the shelf" and no longer needed, often their demise is not long
coming....  also sad.
