Yep. That's probably it.

That's cool. I've been told that sometimes if something works and you're used
to it, really there'd be no need to upgrade. I feel that's a good advice a lot
of the time. There were times when I have noticed updated software doesn't work
as well or has new bugs. But other stuff I do keep updated.

I have PhotoShop Elements 4 and 5, and I don't have any immediate plans to
upgrade yet. Though I'd like to get CS(whatever-next-version) some day. But for
now, that and Paint Shop Pro X (which I also don't have any plans to upgrade)
are fine.

If it works for you, you really don't need to upgrade. Aero is nice, but when
I run older XP programs (so far only Paint Shop Pro X does this), it will knock
the graphics down to non-Aero anyway. I don't usually change the eye candy too
much. Maybe the wallpaper and colors when I get bored or tired of what is on
there. But I'm at the computer to work, or to read messages, or to watch a
movie or something. I don't think I really pay that much attention to the eye
candy as long as it's not ugly. If I end up noticing it, I then try to do
something about it so I don't notice it. ;)
