Dear George,
My sincerest condolences to you on the death of your friend. The Mercy
Flight crash was felt in our hearts all over this area. Several years
ago, two of our area copters went down within a few months of each
other....Ithaca's and Sayre's Guthrie One. Being from the Sayre area,
Guthrie flies over my house many, many times a day. Although I didn't
know the people in Guthrie's copter personally, I knew of them. One of
the girls I work with at Corning Hospital had just left employment with
Ithaca Hospital shortly before their crash and was very good friends
with the paramedics.
Anytime a tragedy like this happens, it's so hard to deal with, but this
time of year is even worse. Remember them in our hearts forever.
Sincerely,
Debbie
