The first point is....??? The second is more germaine. My guess fwiw is
that the second was planned all along. I would love to see the MS/SCo
meeting notes etc on this as I don't believe the timing is co-incidental.
If I were IBM I would get my lawyers crawling all over the meeting notes
between SCO & MS on this.

I don't think SCO has a snowball's chance in hell but I do think MS might
be prepared to bankroll this as a last roll of the dice. I also think it's
actually pretty silly of them as a convicted monopolist who has abused that
position it could rebound on them very nastily if the IBM lawyers pick up
some interesting SCO-MS meeting notes/correspondance.
